YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR:
* Ensure preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment, structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other plant systems. 
* Maintain general landscaping and upkeep of building exteriors. 
* Manage routine functions, movement, and storage of office equipment. 
* Implement and maintain various manufacturing equipment and facilities maintenance logs, PM schedules and parts inventory. 
* Participate in building inspections with insurance companies and LP analysts. 
* Evaluate vendor offerings and product specifications; arrange for purchase of production equipment, janitorial materials and equipment, and building parts. 
* Coordinate with supervisors, managers, and safety coordinator to ensure adherence to safety regulations and a safe working environment for employees. 
* Remain on-call after hours and on weekends for maintenance emergencies.
* Lead team to meet all given company project deadlines and objectives. 
* Manage maintenance staff time-off requests and Kronos-related activities. 
* Proactively eliminate or reduce equipment downtime; educate others on various preventative maintenance measures; provide technical support to maintenance.
* Safeguard all customer, employee and company proprietary and personal information ensuring proprietary data is always kept confidential. 
* Oversee root cause analysis and development of sustaining countermeasures.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR:
* Degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering – or equivalent experience
* 2 years in a related field; 2+ years in a supervisory role
* Knowledge of building codes, CSA, CCOHS, and workplace safety guidelines
* Carpentry, electrical, plumbing and mechanical skills; HVAC certification is a plus
* Valid driver’s license; able to travel to other labs in the U.S. as required
*Excellent skills in problem solving, multitasking, leadership and conflict resolution
* Physically fit; can lift 60lbs, stand for long periods, bend, twist and kneel
* Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suites
