JOB TITLE: Director, Information Technology Systems

As the Director of Information Technology, you will oversee the network infrastructure and associated control software, ensuring optimal functionality and user support. You will manage hardware and software inventory, version control, licensing, and relationships with service providers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS DIRECTOR OF IT:
* Lead all technology operations, including network security, in alignment with established goals
* Develop and implement IT policies and systems
* Analyze departmental technology needs and procure required technology
* Monitor and optimize the use of technological resources for functionality and efficiency
* Identify upgrade needs, system configurations, and provide recommendations
* Coordinate IT staff and external technicians, providing guidance and supervision
* Control budget and report on expenditures related to IT operations
* Build relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts
* Ensure proper incident, problem and change management methodologies for stability and prioritization
* Implement data protection strategies including backup, recovery and disaster recovery
* Lead and participate in projects related to the systems environment and Lean initiatives
* Take a dynamic approach to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and waste reduction
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A DIRECTOR OF IT:
* Secondary education or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
* 10+ years in IT leadership, with 5 years in network management
* Experience in IBM systems management is an asset, especially in a manufacturing environment
* Exceptional time management and organizational skills
* A dynamic and enthusiastic leadership style
